不过，美国国家公园管理局（National Park Service）官员布莱克（Dave Black）今天晚间表示，目前已知进入峡谷的人员几乎全数寻获，“目前就我们所知，只有1人仍下落不明”。
布莱克表示，随大规模搜救行动展开，昨天和前天共救出82人，巡警也清查国家公园的露营许可证系统，以确认灾难发生时可能身处现场的人员。
他说：“他们比对了许可证、车牌等各项既有资讯，并与家属联系确认，确保这些人都已安全脱困。”
